Welcome!

Hello people! Once upon a time, I worked at a store called "Rocket Fizz". At the location I worked at, we had over 300 different sodas. Therefore, I got to try a lot of different sodas, and I haven't stopped since. Here is where I tell you all, the general public, my opinions on various sodas I've tried. (note: sadly not all are at Rocket Fizz)
Want me to review a specific soda? Send me a suggestion!

*note: I have hypersensitive taste buds to certain Red Dyes...they taste bitter to me. So that may affect my review.*

Another change!

If you've been here since the start, you know I've rebranded to 'the Libationary' a few years ago. A twist on the old-timey term for drinks called Libations. And as nerdy as it may have been, with many awesome implications from the name alone, it's also very limiting. With the blog name being as such, it limits me to only drinks. So I'm changing the name! I'll still keep the term 'Libationary', but now as a category for drinks versus the description for the whole site.
So what now? I'm still a geek. Still  geeking out about all the food related stuff I want to cover... But that's just. I want it to be food stuff. And I want it to be fun. To geek out about the ingredients, or the story, or make it geeky. Once a geek always a geek, am I right? And there are just so many ways to geek out, so much to geek out about...
Not to mention once upon a time the term geek literally was someone who would eat as a show. (Though if you've seen clips, their eating habits were a bit too out there for most🐔)

So what's the change? I wanted something geeky, something that would be recognizable, clever, and exiting... and something that wasn't already taken. It took a very long time and a lot of thinking. The full change will take a while as well... But I think I've got it

Kevita Strawberry Acai Coconut Sparklinkg Probiotic Drink

The Bottle is beautiful with a lovely pink hue to the liquid. Lots of fizz, and I mean LOTS. The lid was slightly raised from it. Smells of plain yoghurt and the yucky smell of first-round-young-coconut water that flopped before it became popular. If I let my sense of smell stop me I would turn back now. It tastes like slightly under-ripe strawberries and club soda. leaves aftertaste of " i just licked a strawberry yoghurt popsicle then took a chug of flavored seltzer. Eventually yoghurt taste becomes stronger. flavor is mild and fizz is strong (despite saying lightly carbonated). And miraculously, despite the yoghurt taste, is dairy free. All in all, the experience is great. I love yogurt drinks, and this is a good brand; having it be a sparkling version is good, but not as refreshing as i would hope.

all in all:
would buy the brand again, but likely not the flavor

Tragos Frescos Sandia y Jamaica (Watermelon Hibiscus) Malt Beverage

Here it is, my first Alcohol review. this bottled drink is........awesome! this affordable cocktail is a refreshing blend of real (not candy) Watermelon flavor, and a slight tartness that comes with Hibiscus tea. despite its 6.0%ABV, it doesnt have a strong bite. my favorite way to enjoy this is like you would have it st a summer pool party; in a plastic cup over ice. I'm considering if it's around next summer, i'll but a few and put it in a dispenser for a summer social! My local store carries it for 5.99 a pack, so its easily affordable. my favorite of the summer bottles so far!

Sioux City Prickly Pear

With Flavor befitting Americas hot hot deserts, this refreshing soda will surely quench your thirst. this soda has a flavor that is similar to that of a watermelon Jolly Ranchertm, Lightly Sour, but with a unique twist that comes with Prickly Pear. This is a sweet, balanced, lightly fizzy pop with no artifical colors or sugars. An absolute favorite of mine that I buy often.

Rocket Fizz Martian Soda "Taste the Abduction" (Plum)

i was hoping for great things from this out-of-this-world pop. but sadly, it wasn't. imagine you have a piece of candy chalk. now make it liquid. now make it fizz. now add purple, and a touch of fruit flavor. it was wayy too sweet, and left the feeling of a ton of candy chalk in your mouth. not enjoyable in the long run.

Astropop Cherry Soda

Astropop makes lollipops. So wouldn't you expect everything else they make to taste like lollipops? Yes? No? Think I'm crazy? Well, there is no doubt in my mind that a lollipop flavored non-lollipop description applies here.
It is certainly artificial flavoring. But not necesarily in a bad way. Unless you dont like cherry lollipops, that is. This tastes just like a cherry saf-t-pop to me. Either that or an über sweet Shirley Temple.

And, like many sodas, it gets sweeter the warmer and less bubblier it gets--so drink fast! Best when fresh and cold!

The Battle between Pepsi and Coke is feirce, and always has been. recently, even a Athlete took a sip of Pepsi and lost his 750k a year sponsorship from Coke.

I'm not going to review these two sodas, but I will tell you which brand is better in which ways to me, you can decide from there.
